I Run A Skateshop And Help People Learn How to Skateboard

Train The People
My name is Chris Bailey, and I am the owner of Parkside Skateshop.

We opened Parkside in March of 2009, and since then, I've been using it as a platform to teach kids how to start skateboarding and support the skate community with contests and events, all the while sharing that passion for skateboarding that I've had since I was ten years old.

Besides Skate Camp, which is a program that I do in the summer which instructs young kids on the basics of skateboarding, I have also begun to reach out to different schools across the country about actually getting skateboarding worked into the school curriculum, which I believe would help enforce some of the same life lessons and disciplines that can come from other sports.

Skateboarding overall is a really rewarding and enriching activity that can help kids learn endurance, creativity, and create lasting friendships. So being able to help support that community has been very fulfilling.
