I saw the event while walking on the boardwalk a few years ago and decided to volunteer. A Walk on Water is a great charity that supports thousands of kids with unique needs through surf therapy. They run an annual event in Spring Lake, NJ which brings kids and their families in from all over the east coast. Seeing the smiles on the kids' faces when they catch a wave for the first time is very gratifying. You can see how happy the families are and how special a day it is for all involved.
