Hi, I’m Kyana Rowland, but most people call me Kiki. For me, hair has always been about more than beauty—it’s about confidence, breaking cycles, and creating community.
I've created many jobs at my salon for local girls. I teach/mentor young stylists, but my bigger mission is to make women feel confident, seen, and inspired. By sharing my knowledge, I foster confidence, build a skillset, and model being a business owner, mother, and mentor in a culture where most locals are often over looked.
I grew up surrounded by strong women. My grandma and her sisters owned a salon and cosmetology school, where I spent much of my childhood. At the same time, weekends at surf contests taught me what it means to be supported, to push yourself, and to cheer others on. Those lessons are what I bring into my salon today.
At 25, I’m a mom of three (with another baby on the way) and a proud Native Hawaiian business owner of The Beach Vibe Salon on the beautiful island of Oʻahu. My passion is creating seamless, dimensional color that grows out effortlessly and naturally, but my bigger mission is to make women feel confident, seen, and inspired.
Through my education brand, Tides of Transformation, I teach/mentor young stylists with the same techniques and mindset that built my career. I know what it’s like to feel unsure or lost behind the chair, and that’s why I’m committed to creating not just beautiful hair, but a community where stylists feel supported and clients walk out feeling unstoppable.
For me, this work will always be about more than hair—it’s about artistry, empowerment, and building something that lasts.
