For the Children

Clothe The People
This all started as a way to give back doing something I've always loved—sewing, making costumes and helping people out.

I noticed one halloween that some kids weren't dressed up when trick or treating and others were even a little jealous of other kids' “more elaborate” costumes.

I was a secret shopper and thought, “Well, I could buy costumes with the money given to me to shop,” and with that, the adventure that became my non-profit October’s Child began.

I’ve been doing this now for nine years and every year it just gets bigger. This September we had 2,157 costumes to give away. All of this is done through buying costumes out-of-pocket, donations, and by me making one-of-a-kind costumes from materials and outfits I find when thrifting.

I’ve always loved giving back, it’s just the way I was raised. And now, I am doing what I love while also making kids' Halloween's a little brighter, more fun, and more spooky.
